The Rubberhead Racin' Series

RRS History

The RRS was conceived on Runnin' Horns bus trip to Houston to play the Cougars on Friday, January 28, 1994. After that trip, Michael Bos came back and discussed the idea with John King. Scott Carmichael and some of the other staff in the ticket office also decided to participate (it is still up to debate if their participation was voluntary). Coincidentally, that was the first time that Tim Keener, who joined in 1995, met one of the RRS founders. Chuck and Lee Clemence came on board in 1999, the only good result of an an ill-advised career move made by the commissioner.

The 2002 RRS was voted to have had the best Awards Banquet. The pictures are still available.
